Lawsuit Filed in Cheri Moore Shooting
Somehow
The April 14, 2006 police shooting of Cheri Moore was the subject of a highly publicized inquest, as well as newspaper editorials, a Journal cover story and the blogs.
Nearly as contentious as the shooting itself is the inexplicable failure of District Attorney Paul Gallegos to charge the officers involved or drop the case. What the hell he is waiting for is anyone’s guess.

Maybe he was waiting for Hank to write this article so he could be brought up to speed on the proceedings.
Get over it, 7:57. Your daily papers failed to report the filing of the lawsuit. The Journal is the only publication to mention it.
Oh, how I wish there were a way for the blog administrator to indicate the reason for removing a post!
For example, "Comment deleted -
This post has been removed by the blog administrator due to the use of completely uncalled-for nasty language."
Or "Comment deleted -
This post has been removed by the blog administrator due to the extreme insipidity of the poster's viewpoint."
Something like that would liven up many a blog, IMHO.

It starts with a B and ends with O. Any questions?

One interesting solution is disemvoweling.
A blogger doesn't have the power to disemvowel someone else's comment to make it more palatable. Blogspot lets you allow or delete comments, but not edit them.

Why don't any of you use Wordpress?
I've just been having this very conversation.
I tried to move the Humboldt Herald to WordPress last November but had trouble enabling anonymous comments (an apparently sacred practice in the Humboldt blogosphere).
Wordpress is superior to blogspot, but would take some getting used to and wouldn't play by the normal precedent set here.

I'm for deleting.
The deleted messages weren't fucking removed because of foul language, they were removed because they were stupid, offensive, abusive or, usually, some combination of the three.
Good riddance.

No one ever got to the point, the lawsuit.
Gee, will this help to get Paul off his ass and make a decision?
What a GF>

when will you get it thru your heads. He ain't going to be making a decision ok. He is too busy surfing, going on vacation and playing at being the DA all the while this place is going to hell. But how I see it, you get what you deserve for re-electing this moron. Seems that doing nothing is not exactly new for him, but you guys wanted him so keep him.
So, sorry to bring this up again... How was this woman shot in the back of the head? Can anybody tell me how EPD has figured out how to warp space-time? Seriously. How was this woman shot in the back of the head?
